The Challenge

Every pregnancy deserves better support

In the United States, 1 in 10 babies is born preterm — and more than 75% of the resulting death and disability could be prevented with known interventions. The problem isn't a lack of science. It's a know-do gap: proven solutions exist, but they aren't reaching the people who need them most.

Natally is built on a foundation of rigorous science. Our approach draws from one of the largest pregnancy outcome studies ever conducted — analyzing data from more than 1.5 million California pregnancies — and is informed by over 150 peer-reviewed publications. This research, led by Laura Jelliffe-Pawlowski, PhD, has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the March of Dimes, and includes an IP-protected blood test for predicting preterm birth.

Our Team

Founded by parents, driven by science

Natally was created by Michael Pawlowski and Laura Jelliffe-Pawlowski, PhD — parents whose daughter was born prematurely after Laura developed pre-eclampsia. That experience transformed their mission: to ensure every family has access to the personalized, evidence-based support that can make the difference between a healthy pregnancy and a preventable complication.
